OVST Summer/Fall Camp Opportunities
Depart Ogden May 30th
Return June 9th
8 days on snow 1 day off ( beach or rafting trip)
Coaches to include Gordon Perry other OVST staff and guest coaches/college racers depending on enrollment
Each athlete will meet with coach prior to camp and we will agree on fundamental area of focus and set camp goal to correct that fundamental skill.. Each athlete in this group will work on specific goal for the entire camp.. Combination of free skiing drills/ course drills and courses.
Full session - includes van from Ogden and back
Last 4 days (requires own transportation to and from Mt.Hood / flight pick up from Portland could be arranged)
We will stay at the convenient and comfortable Collins Lake Resort in Government Camp Or.. We'll eat our dinners at the Glacier Haus restaurant in Government Camp, with breakfast and lunch in the Condo.
Cost based - $1500 for full camp and $800 (less for younger athletes staying with parents ) for 4 day session
Deposit of 50% due by May 1st
NEED CONFIRMATION BY April 21st and Deposit no later than May 1st = NO Exceptions as
much of this camp requires deposits and payments in advance..If you haven't done so yet please email your intent to attend asap to help us with planning.
Summer Dryland Camp
Former OVST coach Tyler Callantine has put together a training/fun camp for our team members…..
If you’re interested please let me know asap so we can figure out if this is a camp we can move forward with..Our staff will participate and make this a part our dryland and athlete development plan for this season. Parents/families are welcome.

Ogden Valley Ski League Races
All-Stars will have the opportunity to participate in the Ogden Valley Ski League races throughout the season. Details will be provided to athletes and parents in the coming weeks..All the races are at Snowbasin.
Dates: Saturday, January 17th, January 31st, February 21, March 21st.

Snowbasin Resort to launch the “All Stars” Development Ski Program
Snowbasin Resort and the Ogden Valley Ski Team are proud to announce the new “Snowbasin Resort All Stars” developmental ski program for young athletes ages 7 to 12 years old. This 14 week program will be run by Snowbasin Resort’s Snow Sports department under the direction of Ogden Valley Ski Team coaches paralleling its standards with the United States skiing snowboarding association development system. “This program will not only help children develop confidence and increase on-mountain skill it encourages them to be physically active.” said Gordon Perry Director of the Ogden Valley Ski Team. John Loomis, Snowbasin Resort’s General Manager adds, “We want to give children the opportunity to improve skills and enjoy learning to race in a fun, team environment.”
The all-day program for skiers will take place every Saturday starting December 13th, 2014. Each Skier will be matched with a coach and a group for the entire season. Parents and young athletes will be able to sign up in person at Snowbasin Resort weekends between 10 am and 6 pm in the Grizzly Center or on Snowbasin.com.
