The Ogden Valley Winter Sports Foundation is fortunate to have the support of two fantastic ski areas all within 20 minutes from Ogden.
Snowbasin Resort – Is one of the oldest continuously operating ski areas in the nation. Yet its updated lodges, snowmaking and lifts in the late 1990s and early 2000s makes in a truly world class ski area. As an Official Venue of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, it played host to the men's and women's downhill, super G and combined races.
Our team is fortunate to be able to ski and train at this amazing mountain that offers skiers 3000’ vertical, 400” average annual snowfall, over 600 acres of snowmaking, 10 lifts ((1 Tram, 2 Gondolas, 2 Hi-Speed Quads, 4 Triples, 1 Handle Tow).
Having access to this mountain is a huge privilege and also an amazing opportunity for our team members to develop and reach whatever goals they may have as a skier and an athlete.
Wolf Creek Mountain – Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort is known for their well-groomed slopes that are open from late November through the first of April.
Again, it fits perfectly into our program model by providing a facility that offers early season training opportunities with its snowmaking capabilities. Additionally, Wolf Mountain has incredible night skiing which in turns allows our athletes to train in the evening and after school throughout the winter. It’s proximity to our Academy (Snowcrest Jr. High) allows our student-athletes to get from the class room to the slopes in a matter of minutes.
